A 4-Month Comprehensive IFS Course

 FAQs

  • This course is open to therapists, counselors, coaches, pastoral counselors, or other mental health professionals. To get the maximum benefit from this course it is preferable to be working 1:1 with people in a professional capacity.

  • The course runs for 16 consecutive weeks. You will have sessions once a week, always on the same weekday and at the same time.

    The Stepping Stone course is 100% online and each class takes place on the Zoom videoconferencing platform.

    Each cohort is limited to 20 participants

  • The course has 4 modules, and each module follows this structure:

    Week 1: Teaching and Demonstration

    Week 2: Practice session with a Support Staff

    Week 3: Practice session with fellow learners

    Week 4: Consultation Group

    You will receive a 90-page course manual that supports the course and many vídeos of live IFS sessions that demonstrate the application of the IFS protocol.

    After course completion you will receive a Certificate and Graduates may refer to themselves as “IFS Informed Therapists/Practitioners”

Take your Internal Family Systems (IFS) ​practice to the next level

  • To enroll in Stepping Deeper, you should meet the following criteria:

    1. Completion of IFSCA's Stepping Stones Course or IFSI's Level 1;

    2. Active engagement in 1:1 work with clients in a mental health capacity;

    3. Proficiency in the English language;

    4. A stable internet connection;

    5. Access to a computer or tablet;

    6. A private environment for full participation in the sessions.

  • Stepping Deeper spans 16 consecutive weeks, with ​sessions held once a week on the same weekday and at the ​same time.

    To accommodate international students, multiple cohorts start at ​various times, all following the US/Canada Eastern Time (Toronto ​time) zone.

  • This course consists of four ​comprehensive modules, each providing a deep dive into various aspects of IFS ​therapy.

    *Interactive and engaging ​didactic sessions

    *Small cohort sizes to ensure ​personalized attention

    *Immersive experiential ​learning opportunities.

IFSCA STEPPING IN COURSE

Comprehensive IFS Course for Queer, Trans and Non-binary Folks

SEPTEMBER COHORT IS NOW OPEN FOR REGISTRATION!!!

 FAQs

  • Stepping In is open to Queer, Trans, and non-binary therapists, counselors, coaches, pastoral counselors, or other mental health professionals; you must be actively engaged in 1:1 work with clients to be able to practice and implement the teachings.

    - 1:1 work in a Mental Health Capacity

    a) Individuals nearing graduation or recent graduates in psychotherapeutic disciplines, such as social work, therapy, or counseling, are welcome to participate, provided they commit to having clients to practice with.

    b) For those without a background in psychotherapy, such as coaches and bodyworkers, it is recommended to have a minimum of 6 months of experience working one-on-one before joining the program. This ensures a comprehensive foundation for meaningful engagement in the course.

    - Participants are expected to be fully fluent in English.

    - A stable internet connection

    - Computer or tablet

    - A private environment to participate in the sessions.

  • Stepping IN runs for 16 consecutive weeks, with ​sessions held once a week on the same weekday and at the ​same time.

    The Stepping In course is 100% online. Sessions take place on the Zoom videoconferencing platform.

    ​To accommodate international students, multiple cohorts start at ​various times, all following the US/Canada Eastern Time (Toronto ​time) zone.

  • You will receive a 90-page course manual that supports the course and many vídeos of live IFS sessions that demonstrate the application of the IFS protocol. The vídeos are annotated so each intervention is clear.

    Each didactic teaching session and consult group is recorded for your use alone and each of the four modules is accompanied by a teaching video outlining the key points.
